There are kits available with pillar blocks and improved recoil lugs for the original T3 stocks. If anyone has stiffened the fore end of the original stock with a rod and epoxy and bedded the action I would like a detailed account of how you did it and how it came out.

Easier just to go with a B&C Hunter stock. Full length aluminum bedding block, very solid.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

You're right, and I've already done that, but now I have T3 plastic stocks sitting around and I like to tinker. I thought I remembered someone posting about beefing up the original plastic stocks and I would like to try it.

You could stiffen up the factory Tikka stock by filling it with something that will harden up solid. But you want to keep it light weight also. Plus, you don't "bed" the Tikka's. They have a V block and wedge into the stock, so they do not need to be bedded.

I bought a used Tikka T3 and it looks like the guy put some appoxy in the fore end to stiffen it up. It is not great but it definitely helps.

Does a Tikka stock removal/replacement only involve the two screws? I think I am overthinking what is involved with a simple stock swap.

Thanks for the link to the website. It is real interesting, but it looks like a pretty complicated process.
