I have been using the Carbon Express Launchpads for the last month or so in practice and really liking them. However, this is the only lighted nock I have used and wondering if I should give Nockturnals a try? Heard really good things about them as well. Has anyone used both? If so, which one did you like the best?

I prefer the nocturnals to the luminocks. Just make sure you have a knife handy incase it turns on when you nock an arrow in the stand in the dark.

Agree and I keep a safety pin in the wrist strap for something handy to turn them off if needed

Same here. I have used both. The luminocks seemed to work about half the time. So far, I haven't had a nocturnal fail yet.

Thinking about trying some this season. Be first time so think will consider the nocturnals. Will have to see if they bother my setup and mess with the FOC.

I've tried both and the Nockturnals were clearly more reliable. You do need a knife or a pin to turn them off.

Just ordered a package of three red Nockturnals from Amazon for $21. Going to compare them to the CE Launchpads. Thanks for the feedback.

Agreed never had a nocturnal fail....unlike others in the market. They also last forever, I have some that are 4+ years old and still work like day 1

Tested the new Nockturnals tonight. Much brighter than the CE Launchpads; however, they don't fit near as tight in the CE Maxima Blue Streaks like the Launchpads. Was wondering if I need to put a little Locktite on them to keep them from coming out on potential pass thru shots?

Had the same problem, my GF bought me the wrong sized nocks. Guy at the shop stretched a plastic baggy over the arrow shaft and jammed in the nock, nice and snug now. Simple and cheap.

Adult late onset hunter. Why did I wait so long to get started?

Make your own, it's cheaper and they always work.

I like the green the best but they have red or yellow.

I hate them all. Since I started using some I haven't had one low light or no light archery shot on a pig. It's all the lighted nocs fault. frown

your not suppose to turn them on before you shoot it. So it has nothing to do with it.

But I have had bad experience with nockturnal. Get one that fits your arrow nice and snug I have had 2 nockturnals fall out of my arrow at the point of impact.

But it a lot depends on the arrow.
