Could be worse, last year I had 5, that's right 5, spikes come out opening morning. One was noticeably bigger and I plugged him.

Let them ride on the feed bill at least one more year. See what happens next season.

Unless the 'bump' is longer than an inch, he'll be legal. All those deer appear young-what do your mature bucks look like? Do you have pics of other young bucks that are much better than these deer?

You have a lot of young ones. What can it hurt to give them another year?

What can it hurt to give them another year? these are just the bigger ones too... have a lot of pics of smaller bucks as well and this year theres at least 4-5 spikes running around. i think the first deer in the first set of pics is this guy from last year. which is why I'm leaning towards taking him if he's legal.

Sometimes, antlers are funny things. The first full year (2010) on my panhandle place, I got pics of 12 different bucks from pretty much all age classes that had a strong right side and weak left side. It was actually amazing to look at and study the pics. I thought I bought a place that had some really funky genetics or I had a bunch of hybrids. The following year, and every year since, the herd bucks were almost perfectly balanced. As far as explanation, I got nothing.

I don't think the first buck is any where close to 13" and the last buck appears to have forks on both sides to me. All are young. Shoot a true spike instead

This is not the same buck as in the first pic IMO.

Shoot a true spike instead With STX, I don't see any that look older than 2.5 YO, most look younger than that to me. The 1st one, looks maybe 11" IMO. Could be the angle IDK.

They all look young, I vote to let them walk and reevaluate next year.

Ya their saving grace might be that I'm gonna wanna pop the true spikes first, and I've seen a couple that have already caught my eye.
