Is Lapua brass as good as advertised ? I just ordered some to start loading for my CTR and wow it's a little pricey compared to Hornady and Winchester which is what I've been using. Is it good to go straight out of the box?

It is good and prep work is done for you already, you pay extra for that. Have loaded some out of the box but do a little prep put it through the sizing die since have had a few that had slight dings on the mouth of the case,

Great brass. I used to load it right from the box, but now run it through the trimmer just to chamfer the case mouth.

That said, once I've gone through the process of weighing and prepping, including neck turning, I get equal accuracy from Rem and WW.
