Warranties are only as good as the paper they're written on,and only good if the scope breaks. Most high end optics that don't have any problems within the first couple years usually don't have any problems down the road.
Swarovski only warranties the original purchaser, but I've bought used Swarovski scopes and years later they developed a small problem or two and Swarovski has rebuilt a couple of them completely for absolutely no charge to me. That's customer service, and a reason I put very little value into a companies " Lifetime Warranty". A quality company will always take care of the people that use their products when it breaks if they expect to last in today's market.
All of the top tier scope makers take care of their reputation's by taking care of their customers.
