Saw a few a couple days ago mixed in with 100 or so squealers I love them squealers. I will always stop and watch them fly, unless it's open season.

Sorry man- give mine away. Kuby s only gets dabblers- toss my canvasbacks in there as well. Best way to cook a jack is in trash can. Give all divers away I agree that jacks are a pain to clean, but they do taste fine, at least to my palette. To be fair, I don't clean them anymore either. They go whole into my garage freezer until they are cut in half with shears or simply fed whole to a falcon. Really a convenient, incredibly nutritious food package that gives the bird the psychological reward of plucking the carcass. There's not really a more energy rich meat than diver duck.

I'd like to hear more about your falcon. Once duck season gets here I'll post some photos of my birds and friends birds with ducks. It is duck hunting, just with a bird instead of a gun. Teal are actually the worst damn duck in the world to fly, but I'll save that explanation for another thread. I saw a single group of teal this week at a public park in Fort Worth.

OK guys! I saw my first group yesterday driving to Lubbock. Man oh man is there a ton of water out that way. I would think teal hunting would be awesome this year.
