I am moving to the Denton area next week. Hunting season is coming up pretty soon and I know certain places can be expensive and may require a certain amount of people. Since I don't know anyone up that way. I was looking to possibly get with a group of people or even just one other person if they needed a hunting buddy, or if they needed to fill up the minimum two person slot. I will pay half and if there are further details we can discuss that as well. I have been hunting before and I am prior military so I know a lot about safety and weapons. I have a bow and a rifle. Please feel free to PM if you have any questions.

There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.

Your going to be hard pressed to get a response on this one.

You need to be a lot more specific about what type of hunting your wanting to do and how much you can afford.

I suggest once you figure that part out, post in the hunting lease section and outfitter section as well.

Good luck with your search. up

Hey Stickman11b, I know exactly what you mean. Being an African American male I didn't anyone when I moved to Texas. However between THF and Facebook, I have meet some great guys that have allowed me to join them on some great hunts. I still don't know enough people so we could go half on some dove/duck hunts when season opens. I stay in Lewisville, so I am about 15 minutes from Denton.

I knew a cat named Stew when I was young, he used to claw people in the face all the time.

Stickman - be sure to look into public hunting at the LBJ grasslands up near Decatur(~30 min from Denton) or the Caddo grasslands....-
http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/texas/about-forest/districts/?cid=fswdev3_008440
can be very cost-effective( $48 Annual public hunt permit may be required, among other things) and is nearby...

Hey all!

Sorry for the late reply. I just got Internet today at my new house. I'm looking for a rifle or a bow hunt. It doesn't matter what I hunt. Deer, hogs, doves as long as I can eat it and it's good I don't mind hunting it.. I went to the grasslands twice this week. Didn't see anything. Most of the gates are closed as well. I'm willing to travel as well so it doesn't matter where we go. All I ask is that you be fair in letting me know the price.
