It was warm, but not as hot as here. High's were around 90-92. Humidity was much worse there though, but you had the breeze off the ocean to help.

Oh yeah, it's the humidity that keeps me from the Southern coast. Odd, I don't remember it one way or another when I was young.

Finally got in the water today. Only saw a few jellyfish. Hopefully they will keep thinning out before we leave. I did see a bunch of baby swordfish swimming around which was pretty cool.

Baby swordfish? We didn't see any of those...they up by shore?

Yup. Most were about 6 inches and one was about 12 or so. They were maybe 15 yards out from the beach.

Are you sure they were swordfish? Could have been another billfish, balleyhoo, some sort of needlefish. I'm not sure of your knowledge of saltwater fish

Wish I would have seen your thread before you went, would have recommended Bills on the beach, a new restaurant along beach blvd real close to the public beach, amazing food there. Are there twice and will go back for sure. Also, Janino's pizza a little further down beach blvd was awesome pizza. Will hit that shins next year when we go.

Wife and I just ate at Bill's and it was awesome. I had the blackened Red Snapper, New Orleans style and she had the fried shrimp with sweet potato fries along with red beans and rice. Not sure how new the place is but there was only a few other people there. If the rest of the menu was as good as ours it won't be long until it has a full house like the rest of the restaurants.
