Not sure how many gunsmith guys we have on here, but I have two handguns (a S&W 39 and a S&W 13-2) that have fixed low profile ramp style front sights that become all but useless in poor lighting or against dark colored targets. The guns are both fantastic shooters, and I would like to increase their sight visibility. Can a bright brass bead be fitted and placed on the existing metal ramp sight?

That

And they make some really good Glow In The Dark Paint these days.

I did a 10/22 with florescent model paint years ago.
It worked out great.

So far that is what I have done on the 13-2. It works ok, obviously
It is the cheapest and least invasive approach, but it isn't an exceptional fix.

There is a company called BrightSights that makes high vis and glow in the dark paint specifically for gun sights. They work great

http://brightsights.com/

I have even used it on guitar necks so guys can see there position dots on a dark stage.
