Picked up a Remington Model 8 in 35 Remington the other day. It's in really good shape. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but hopefully will soon. This gun is touted as being the first semi auto rifle. John Browning developed it while working on the Auto 5 shotgun. It shows.

Really nice rifle. And on a historic note (maybe), and depending on what version you read on the Bonnie and Clyde ambush, Frank Hamer said he headshot both of them with a model 8 in 35 Remington before the real firestorm of bullets flew.

Yes, the story goes, He stepped out and headshot the two of them and sat down and smoked a cig while his crew shot the car to doll rags. On another note, I have a 1929 Chevy like they were driving that day.
