I don't know much about fencing but it's quoted in linear feet. A perfect square would have four miles of fence, a rectangle half a mile by two miles long, would have five.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

Probably looking at about 17000-19000 per mile depending on soil or rock.

Just pricing out materials, no labor or clearing of the fence line, it's around $2 to $3 a foot depending on what you use and how five t posts then a pipe for the run, plus who knows what for turns, dips and creeks

So a mile = 5280 ft and so based on your $3 a foot material estimate 5280 x3 = $1580 in material. So $19k-20K sounds like a bargain for an installed fence.

I am getting quotes now for 3 miles. No water gaps and one gate/entrance. 5 corner braces, 20 ft T Post spacing, etc. First bid in was $4.45 ft. Materials and labor.

That about how much the material will run. $3.19 a foot. I don't think that is including the labor cost.

Isn't 3 x 5280 = 15,840?

Installed is materials plus labor. 20K installed minus 16K material = 4K for labor.
