He was wagging to the left at first, maybe aggressive maybe just unsure. Then he decided he was ok and tail shifted to right. He was playing and friendly at that point. I woulda had to touch him and see with left hand. Right hand is Plan B.

I don't know that I would call it an attack, but I would say that the coyote was "testing the waters" to see if the guy was suitable as prey or not.

Neat video. The guy probably walked that same path for a few weeks or maybe a month or so tossing food to the coyote, then he walked it once for the video without feeding it. The 'yote is just asking where his supper is.

IMO - There was no playing involved, was trying to see the reaction of the guy, it's the same thing they do with a buck/doe or any other pray item on there list!

hackles were up, that yote was hungry not playin.

since it is at some kind of site (well?) I would guess they had been feeding it, if you freeze frame the video you can see the look in the yotes face that he is not playing around.
