I spent a few hours building a varmint cage for one of our feeders put it up with pride and set a cam on it to get some pictures of their failures... which turned out to be mine! Less than a day in one found a way in and the photo showed him sleeping in the cage... sleeping

Ive sat in the blind and watched a big old momma coon with babies run full grown deer off of a feeder. Made me happy the deer were gone to not hear the gunfire.

I have no problem when/what you drag around your property, just as I don't care if you dump trash or dangerous chemicals on your property, but I would appreciate it if you do not try to be the pied piper and lure them over to my property.


On the other hand, if we can find a way to get a new Deadly Six trophy group and sell guided hunts to rich Arabs then I am all in favor of the idea and will split the cost of the corn and fuel.

I've heard there is a fly bait you can buy from a feed store and put it in Tuna....they get no more than 5 steps...stone cold dead.

Downside is you have to deal with all the dead coons laying around.

Right into a Z-Trap. I haven't been able to spend much time there, but I have been able to cull five out of the herd with a pair of dog-proof traps baited with corn. I know one would go gross Boone & Crockett.

Just be careful with that if you do use a spray can lid with a drywall screw to a tree above ground so that NO legal animals can reach it...or at least thats what I have heard hypothetically speaking
