I got a WT shoulder mount done by a friend of a friend kind of deal. Never happen again. Anyway, the deer has a stupid looking smirk, and the eyes don't look right. Is there anything that can be done to fix it by a REAL taxidermist? Let me know what you think. I will have to get pictures later as my son has it at his house now.

The only way to tell is to rehydrate the skin. If the tan is good it should rehydrate. Then take it off the firm and remount it. I've done quite a few repair jobs lately. If you have any questions call me at 817-757-9192. Gods Creation Taxidermy Studio. Mark Couture

Rehydrate if possible and remount......or just get another cape (which is a bummer but better tan looking at a poor mount for years to come).
