Odds are he will be back to normal next year only bigger since he will be older. That is not genetic but and injury either in the rut last year on in velvet this year.

I've got a bunch of these little whipper-snappers running around. Maybe they'll all turn into bruisers. I don't have too many mature bucks - I wonder who's killing them all. On two sides are dude ranches, on one side is a ranch that is never hunted, and the rest is the state park. Perhaps during the state park hunt everything is slaughtered? I can't imagine that'd be the case…hmm.
