This thread is still going? Don't y'all have something better to do? I'd suggest underwater basket weaving.

Coin flip. I do love my 06s, but I'd be just as happy with a .308.

+1 on the 180gr SBT. My favorite hunting/do all bullet in the 06 - Accurate enough to punch paper & ring steel, performs excellent on game, and cheap enough to plink with.

Me too.


My .270 (Sako Finnlight) shooting 130 grain Accubonds hits harder than my .308 (Nosler Legacy) shooting 165 grain Accubonds. I think the felt recoil on a .270 and .308 is so close that stock design and rifle weight will override any differences in caliber in determining which is softer shooting.
