Jessie's gottem, starts out semi firm, then turns to very loose stool. I feed Science Diet for Puppy's from my Vet, he recommended it and I switched from Purina Complete Puppy,. I give her Milk Bones, and several other "healthy" dog treats, NO PEOPLE FOOD,she gets the Virbac dental chews and some Greenies. I got some sweet potato treats, read them and pure pumpkin were good too. I hate to start boiling my own chicken and rice!!!

My next step is to cut out everything but her dry food and see if they tighten up. Oh, I have also given her two types Probiotic, a powder and the one in the big , plastic syringe looking tube.

Thanks for any tips

Go with just dry food and see what happens.

Sounds like you may be giving too many treats. milk bones give a couple of my dogs the runs. Cut everything but dry food and see if it changes it.

Just like the other said, cut out all treats.
If it goes back to normal, slowly add back one type of treat at a time to find the culprit.
If it stays take a stool sample to the vet. If they find nothing, go back to the food that worked before you switched.

If you windup making the chicken and rice, just make a big pot of it.
That way it will last for a few days, no need to make it daily.

Oh Lordy,,, 1 treat a day,, chew toys are good.

I'm not high on Science diet. Nasty stuff. Not palatable at all and corn is the first ingredient.

How long has this been going on? Diarrhea is a symptom usually from eating or drinking something they should not have. OR even with a food change and a lot of treats would not be much different. I either stay on the same food and plenty of water, or with a single dose of immodium if I am sure there are no other symptoms. Longer that two days, I then go to the boiled chicken rice diet and nothing else. But if there are other symptoms with it like blood, not eating, throwing up, etc. It's vet time for me. But again, we usually just ignor it and it goes away. And food choice could be a contributing factor IMO and worth trying a change if the problem keeps repeating itself.
