Really tired of this heat, finding myself daydreaming of fall. Been looking at weather records and it looks like mid to end September may be bearable. What do you consider decent temps for spending the weekend in the woods in a tent?

I will be honest...I have gotten pretty soft when it comes to sleeping in a tent. Can't say I have done it in awhile. I like it cold and some noise, otherwise sleep can be pretty evasive.

If I was going to go tent camping, I would like it to be 55-60 or below.

Right now I'm thinking I'm gonna have my gear ready and the first weekend forecast of overnight lows in the low 70's I'm hittin the road for the lease.

Same here. I can no longer sleep if I'm hot and sweaty.

Hot and sleep don't go well together. 50's or 60's are perfect

I have never been able to sleep well when it is warm. I could do 50's at night 70's in the day, year round and be in high cotton.

Yal thinking about this too hard?

Most people I know going to sit on a tripod/tree stand or even in a deer blind wear long sleeves and a coat in 55 degree weather.

If it has to be that cold for yal to be comfy you may get your dr to check you out.

Been that way all my life, when I was young, I would put my comforter my mom made me use in our deep freezer every night before bed, that is gospel truth, have passed out in the heat when I was a teen. Even now our house is 71* and all I use at night is a sheet. I dont care for a freezing wind though, but like cool weather.

Those things are sure nice as you get older, unappreciated when your young and don't really "think" you need them up
