Is there a certain type of paint you need to use when painting it?

Bonding primer is the key. Paint won't stick otherwise.

I don't have any pictures of mine, but have had two for about 16 years. All we did was predrill through the side and screw some treated lumber to square it off. Window mounted directly to the lumber.

The dirt floor worried me, snakes/rattlers, scorpions, ants, and everything else that wants to bite me. Now I don't need to be armed to open the door. It's sealed up nicely with carpet on floor and 6" up wall. Y'all wanted framed window pics -

Sorry about pic quality, maybe somebody can lighten them up and repost. You can see the sleeper deck up above windows, it's gone in my upgraded blind (another thread) and the sleeper deck is now below the hunting deck, in the new 'bunkhouse' entryway.

Oh, and don't think for one minute that I'm doing this. This is all UltraDeerTowers construction. You guys that are building your own would do well swinging by and looking their builds over. Dan is a great guy and will be happy to show you around. They're in Arlington, on Anglin St. Call him first.

We bought 4 of these in the summer and took them to the lease, I don't think I have ever been so comfortable bow hunting. You can stand up, move around with deer under your feeder. We only put one deer view window in ours, ours are 8x8.
We didn't put any floors in them either, just got all of the vegetation off of ground first. Now they are super quiet.
It was 38 degrees last Sunday morning, I left the window closed and had deer in my pen for 3 hours. They are about 100 lbs a foot based on us moving them around. A tractor and pallet forks are a must! If you have permanent spots and a tractor these are fantastic!
