I hunted in Buffalo for a few years, but it's been about 10 years now.

That's an area I'd think Antler Restrictions would do wonders. I'd see 10-20 does (no doe county), but not a single buck beyond little yearlings. One of my buddies killed a pretty solid 8 pointer one year, but it was the only decent buck I remember seeing or even hearing about. It's going to drastically depend on your neighbors, but it definitely has potential to be a very fun little hunting area with strong population of both hogs and deer.

You should be able to harvest does during bow season as well.

I drive thru this area a lot. Always see lots of deer from the road off 79 between Buffalo and Oak Wood.

If you have any kind of woods and drainage area you'll have deer. Some very good bucks in pockets. If you have doe issues getting LAMPS permits are super easy get with the local biologist and get a plan for next year already.

Never hunted that area, but driven through many times and camped alot as a child at Fairfield state park. That park use to be over run with deer until they began the annual drawn hunt program.. and i always see deer driving through..
