I've been running the N550 for a while now and it has worked okay up until recently. I don't know what has happened with it but it is exhibiting multiple issues all at once.

Here's a short list of what is happening.. When you first turn it on the screen lights up to a solid gray screen and then several seconds later you might actually have a field of view. The reticle is rolling across the screen from to bottom to top. The reticle does not appear at all, or appears somewhere other than where it is supposed to be. Random disarray of icons on screen to include reticle. For example the battery indicator is usually in the top right corner, but now it may appear on bottom right, bottom center. Reticle is the same way, it randomly appears in various places other than where it is supposed to be. Last night I had to cycle the scope on & off several times just to get the reticle to appear. It is NOT the batteries, or power supply. I've used brand new rechargeable batteries, and also brand new normal batteries and it is still doing the same thing.

I am the original owner. I've heard that Pulsar *may* exchange the scope for a newer N750. I'm just wondering what you guys recommend I do. I don't want to just throw it away as it has been a good scope up to this point. Any guesses as to what might have happened to it?

I have it mounted on an AR-10 in .308 and have probably put 500 +/- rounds through it so far.

I would contact Pulsar to see if it is under warranty, or what they might charge for repair or offer for trade in on an Apex Thermal scope. I know their thermals have a 3 year warranty.

Is it rated for .308?

It is rated for a lot more than .308. Sell mark is the warranter for Pulsar products in the US. Sell mark is in Mansfield, TX.

I had a problem with my N550 bot the same as your problem. But they sent me a new one that is much better. It is an N550a. Has the wireless remote and a few new features like the N750 but does not have the laser IR.

They will take care of you...

Call Sellmark at (817) 225-0310.
Talk to technical support and tell them your problem - make sure to call before you fill out the form as that phone call paves the way.
They will tell you to go to www.pulsarnv.com and fill out an RA form.
They will send you a RA number and information in an email.
Follow the instructions in the email and send it to the address in Mansfield, TX.
They will get it in, check it out and go from there, usually replacing with a newer A version.

How do I know?
My 2 1/2 year old N750 started acting up a while ago.
I called them on Wednesday of last week.
Sent it in the same day VIA USPS and since I'm in Texas, they got it the next day.
They troubleshot it on Friday.
Sent me a new N750A on Monday.
I got the new N750A yesterday via USPS.

The A version is much clearer and has some nice features that I can use.
The extra reticles are nice.
