Hi Guys I love the Ar platform have them in most calibers...love my 6.8's for hunting.we always bring the Ar 308's hunting but somehow they stay in the room.We shoot steel out to 500 with our 308's but we like just a tad lighter rifle for the hunt.So when H with AR Performance starting putting out the Nexgen 12 upper kits I was lucky enough to be a beta tester. This hybrid upper fits on a DPMS lower and uses a hybrid bcg built by him. These are the softest shooting 308's that we have. They weigh in at just over 6 lbs bare and just over 8 lbs with mag and optics...The kit comes with a spiral fluted 16" barrel,upper,bcg...I used a Bravo KMR keymod 13" rail on them with Timney drop in trggers, and Nikon M-308 scopes.....cant wait till deer season banana Wash

6lbs 1.3 ozs bare

8lbs 1.3 ozs with mag and scope
