She pointed a couple that were on the ground. Should I just let her run around and figure out on her own that she isn't going to catch them?

Let pups be pups. I love to see my pups point and hold lizards. They have all turned out fine.

I would only be worried if a 7 month old Vizsla was not chasing dragonflies.

Dash is a wasp hunter. He catches, swats out of the sky, stomps, kills every wasp within 20 feet of me. He is my protector. He gets stung about once a week. When I was running him in retriever hunt tests I was always worried he would see a wasp or dirt dobber around the pond, get distracted, and miss the mark.

My lab is 4 yro and still chases em all day long, good entertainment.

I don't mind her chasing them, it is just hard to get any training done when that is all she wants to do.
