I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to do the wrong thing. She had zero interest in retrieving a bumper, that was a first but this was the first time the dragonflies have been out. 7 month old vizsla.

She'll soon stop and point them.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

She pointed a couple that were on the ground. Should I just let her run around and figure out on her own that she isn't going to catch them?

Let pups be pups. I love to see my pups point and hold lizards. They have all turned out fine.

I would only be worried if a 7 month old Vizsla was not chasing dragonflies.

Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Dash is a wasp hunter. He catches, swats out of the sky, stomps, kills every wasp within 20 feet of me. He is my protector. He gets stung about once a week. When I was running him in retriever hunt tests I was always worried he would see a wasp or dirt dobber around the pond, get distracted, and miss the mark.
