I took the following pics on January 2, 2015. It was hard for me to let this deer walk but I wanted to get another year of age on him.   The pictures are kind of fuzzy because it was low light and he was moving. I have about 20 minutes of video of him.

Good call, my guess is he's 4.5, still maintaining decent weight for post rut.

Nice buck, but IMO he is very rutted down at that time of the year. Face and head area make me want to lean more towards 5 at that time of the year. No matter if he is a year younger, you let him walk. He walked into the best rainfall in years  Should be a toad this year

I had him at 5 but I have been off by a year before. Some of his tines are bladed and he has a pretty heavy burr around the bases. When I look at the video I took, his brisket definitely flaps back and forth when he walks. I would like to post the video but my computer does not have enough horsepower.
