Nice pictures. The wife and I were talking the other day about how we both want to see Maine. It's rare we agree on states to put on top of our travel list.
She wants to see Iowa, just because she hasn't been there. I stopped with her by a neighbor's cornfield one day and told her "That's what Iowa looks like."

Was not expecting to find a meadow/marshland like this in Maine. The Atlantic is about a mile over the horizon.

Pictures were from last July. Wife and I were in Connecticut for a convention and took a few days afterward to drive up the coast...and yes, we he had some lobster...a lot of lobster.

I always wanted to go up to the north eastern states during fall to see the leaves change. One of several things left on my bucket list! If y'all get the chance, do it. You won't regret it. I drove from Roanoke, VA to Manchaster, NH in '05 and it was beautiful!

You want Fall colors? Make the drive to NH. Friendly folks, they love Texans and guns and obviously, freedom. Stay out of Nastytuchetts, they hate us. Do the Kangamangus Highway. Stay in Clinton, explore the Northern border. If you got cajones, go up Mount Washington.
