Had one for a few years. The size was superb but I had to send it back twice to Kahr. They took care of it but I never could trust it.

The recoil of the Kahr version was much better nan dome of the other cheaper 380s people buy.
Of them I like the 238 best but I'm done with 380s

Thank you. That's the info I was looking for. Will cross this one off of my potential list.

I considered getting one. I dry fired one a few times and couldn't get over how long and gritty the trigger pull was. I'll stick with Glocks.

Like the old Kahr K9 but not really a fan of the 380, or at least the one I have shot. Agree with above about the trigger being gritty

Interesting. I really like my little kahr 380. It's very reliable and accurate as well as having less felt recoil than others in its size. After having a sig 238, a Ruger LCP, Taurus TCP, Walter PPK, and a llama .380 my wife has stuck with her Kahr and loves it. Both of her carry weapons are now Kahr. The other being a 9mm.
About the trigger. It is long and gritty. It is also lite and easy to pull. It is so long because it is a no safety pocket pistol. Of all the ones listed above I find the long gritty light trigger best.
Curious about the problem mentioned above where they had to be sent back.

Kahrs loosen up a bit after a few hundred rounds. They state in the owners manual that there is a break in period. I don't remember how many rounds they state but it needs to be broken in. Most people don't read the owners manual or believe in break in periods. Most pocket guns require a break in period regardless if the manufacturer admits it or not.

Since you guys are analyzing 380's. What do you think of the Bersa brand? I think it's called a Thunder.

Bersa Thunder is a fine gun. I carry one and own a few. Now I like my Walther better but it's an expensive gun so I carry Bersa Thunder with a little custom work.

I did the appropriate break in and cleaned it properly etc. sent it back once and it worked foe awhile. Sent it back again I'm pretty sure they sent a new gun with my serial number. I never shot it after the second rebuild. It left me hanging to many times.
The best thing about it was 10 oz size

Since you guys are analyzing 380's. What do you think of the Bersa brand? I think it's called a Thunder. I've owned 4 and never once had an issue with any. Reason I asked about the Kahr was I'm always looking for ways to make summertime carry easier, and knew it was light at 10 ounces. Currently have the Colt Mustang Pocketlite. 15 ounces, but it's digested everything I've put thru it. Still pretty easy to keep concealed and if brother East can fix me up with an IWB holster I'll really be happy.

I own and daily carry a cw380 with a CT laser guard in a talon iwb. It was not my first Kahr by any means. So right away I stripped it and polished and oiled it up like I normally do. I did the 200 rd break-in in a single session using 100gr fmj freedom munnitions ammo. I had not a single issue during 200rds of pretty quick reloads and dumps. My 11yo daughter shot a mag and named it the "angry baby rhino" I guess she thought recoil was a little more than she liked coming off my AA glock 19/22lr.
I like the flush fit mags when carrying. The gun carries really well and once the holster got broken in enough it is now very comfortable. I have carried my G19 iwb before, and while it can be done, I dont like the feel at all compared to the kahr. I can also pocket the kahr if needed in most of my shorts, since I tend to wear alot of appropriately fitting tanks and tees in summer. Do t like baggy shirts for anything but working around the house.
I will say that I will prob get a 9mm single stack from either glock or kahr. My favorite past kahr was an MK9 elite great shooter and comfortable to shoot well for longer periods. Also had a PM9 black diamod which I got used and broken in. Worked perfect, not even sure why I sold it.
Anyway, cw380 is a good to go weapon in my book. But its all so subjective when you ask for opinions. My choice was easy cuz palmetto had them on sale last year for $229 each shipped. Bought two and kept the one I like best.

We had a cw 380 since they came out and it shoots very very goodfor such a little pistol. My wife shoots the crap out of it. It hates monarch fmj from acadmey but eats everything else we have ever fed it without a hicup.
