Another fun night hunt.. This is my first poka-dot hog.. Was a big one at 172lbs
Unfortunately I was unable to get the shot on video. We had just pack up and almost back to my friends ranch when we decided to look in the field in front of his house that was just plowed. There were about 20 hogs in the center. We were in the open and did a fire drill to get the rifles out. By the time we were all set up they decided all the lights and noise was not a good thing and started to head for the woods. I took the shot at over 250 yards and anchored this one in its track with a neck shot. With all the excitement the other shooter did not have a round loaded or we may have had a second.

All toll we saw this group of about 20 hogs, 5 coyotes, 2 fox, 12 deer and a skunk. Was a very eventful night.

cheers coolpics ground plowed up, makes it easier for hogs ta get at grubs & roots... Still not seeing sign of hogs here, no tracks along creek old hog wallows not being visited... Been slow, got couple interesting threads, that were bumped... rofl feelen hunters remorse setting in, dont do no good ta complain... Best wishes, safe hunten... flag

The lighter ones usually don't get to that size around my area.
They are too easy for hunters to see!
