They are too fast for me to catch. I think they might be poisoness and nobody around here has the antivenom. At least that is what I was told at the Silver Dollar.

You have to chase him into his den under a rock then poke your finger in and out of the hole til he bites down on it...then just ease him out and grab him behind the head with your other hand....it's always helpful to have someone else around to help pry his mouth off your finger once you've caught him....Good luck!

Collared lizard. Very common in the panhandle. We have a few around here.

Not a collared lizard,

this is a collard lizard, we used to call them Mountain Boomers, they will bite you when you
you catch them , but tame quickly and make good pets
