Every time I use my binocs I ended up using one eye. I would love some swarovskis but a few thousand is not in my budget.

A monocular is smaller and easier to carry and might suit my hunting needs in the woods of SE Texas.

What say ye?

first off, why are you only using 1 eye to look through binoculars?

I spent a year with an eyepatch, and using only one eye. Unless you've been in that situation, you will not understand how much dimmer life is than with two eyes. SOOOO, get some good binocs and use both eyes.

Go somewhere that carries a bunch of different binoculars and try different pairs. I think you can easily find another pair that works better for you.

Sounds like the monocular is not efficient? Nobody likes them

I just cant focus properly with 2 eyes with my binocs.

I have strabismus and am hugely 1 eye dominant. Like you, I end up using one tube of binoculars. So I have gone with a Vortex Monocular. It works well for the $$ and is lighter and more compact than binos.

Monoculars can be just as efficient as binoculars. Binos are just two monos. What your brain does with double input may be another matter all together.

This little guy is fantastic. Twice now at rifle matches we were at a stage searching for hidden targets in the hills and valleys and a guy has handed me this. Extremely handy little scope! Small and light weight to boot.

Binoculars are definitely better as they give you a wider FOV. Currently I mostly use my Leupold 8x rangefinder as a monocular when I'm out in the field coyote and groundhog hunting.

I bought the vortex monocular, but gave it to my FIL because I just couldn't get use to it. Hard to stabilize it and focus.
