used to hit Bells Café in VH when I drove San Antonio to L.A. and back when I used to work movies...they had THE BEST N.Y. strips...had to be prime...PILE of frys...caramelized onions done just right... saute'ed mushrooms..... and probly the chocolateyist chocolate shake ever....am going that way soon....anyone know if it's still there / open ?

We hunted Mulies near Van Horn back in the early 80's. Sierra Blanca, I can only remember a great Mexican food Restaurant. Just be sure to get on the Interstate and go through the border check, they used to not like it if you stayed on the service road to by-pass it. Ha Ha!

Yeah, regulars at the check so recognized my 71 Impala, dark green with a peeling vinyl roof to where I never got stopped ! I used to work non-union shoots to work more often....go to L.A. for a month; come home for a month they got REAL used to seein' that peeling white vinyl !!
