Boy BOBO, that is some GOOD wheat, compared to down here. Ya'll must have not had too much wet weather for cutting? We had to spray for rust twice.. All of the rain just hit us earlier in growth stage, compared to down here. We just cut two weeks ago. It's a nice relief since I was averaging 11 for the last three years.. Glad you had a good harvest. 90 bushels is amazing I keep telling myself I'm gonna try wheat. Just can't pull the trigger on it. County average is 23 here and if snow geese stick around too long they'll be the reason to make an insurance claim. Which doesn't cover much with our average anyway. That's an irrigated number. I've gotten killed by late frosted last few years... It was getting pretty touch and go. Another loss this year and it would of been ugly.

I predict another sub par teal season in the marsh in southeast texas. Rice field hunters will say its the best year they have ever had but everyone knows that is a lie.
I wouldn't say the last 2 years. Maybe 2013, but 2014 was pretty good. First pic is of 2013, second is 2014. Some did better than me, some did worse. 2013 was the worst teal season I have ever had. I don't recall anybody hunting in the rice saying that they had a good season in 2013. Yes I know I accidentally put August instead of September on some dates.
