For those of you that have an Omega suppressor, especially if using the QD muzzle device...
How far past or, "below" if you will, does the body of the can go past the muzzle device?
I have an Omega waiting on the tax stamp approval (should be any day hopefully) and for my SBR upper have pretty much settled on a Bison Armory complete upper in 300 Blk Out. They sell a compete upper for cheaper than what I can put one together (with middle of the road parts that is)
Question is... their 8.5" upper comes with an optional 8" (exact according to them) SLR hand guard. Do you think there will be enough clearance for the Omega to fully seat on the muzzle device?
SLR has a 7.5" handguard, but it is not an option on the Bison Armory website. I plan on calling Bison tomorrow to see if they can do that, but thought I would ask here while I wait to see if any of y'all might know if it would fit in the meantime....
Thanks

Unless it is a slim fit handguard the Omega should fit inside of the handguard and shouldn't have any issue with clearance. Most handguards have an inside diameter of greater than 1.5". For reference, my Cyclone has diameter of 1.5" and could easily fit inside this handguard if it was longer....

ahhh, yea forgot to mention... it IS a slim fit (1.3"ID) so the Omega being 1.5ish won't fit under

Just made a trip to Austin to pick up my Omegas.... woot!!
So, if anyone is still curious, I have the answer...
Using the specwar muzzle device and "quick detach" mounting option (I put that in quotes, because it really is not that much faster than direct threading it, although more secure) the body of the suppressor does not extend any further than the muzzle device. So a 1/2 - 1" difference between handguard and barrel length should be no problem at all.
Hope that helps!
