OK guys I know some of you have the FLIR Thermals so what do you guys use for video needs capturing the video off of your hunts? Also can you go from the RCA plug that is factory that they give you in the package to an IPAD with some kind of app for viewing on an IPAD and recording with your IPAD? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any DVR that has an RCA input will work that records 30Hhz NTSC video at 640 X 480 pixels.
Do not know of any I-Pad RCA video input hardware or app for recording external video into an I-Pad, if you find one, let me know.
I spend my money on dogs, hunting, racing, women, and whiskey - the rest I waste.

Thanks SkyPup......I think I found a way to record that costs less than 15 bucks using my Android. I ordered the cable from Amazon and downloaded an app for the Samsung Edge.....Just waiting on the mail now....USPS takes forever if it even gets here! I will let you know if what I have planned works.
I have not found any further information that will let you use the IPAD in anyway but if that changes I will let you know.

H.264 is a good recording compression codec to use.

I was Texas Wildlife Supply in Brady Saturday and they have a similar setup for an iPhone. It looked very neat and tidy (no wires everywhere). www.texaswildlifesupply.comVery good prices on their merchandise.

I would have to look at the Iphone set up as that would have to be the one that I heard was a special developed by Jager Pro Team. I talked to one of their guys and it costs a lot to set it up. I am still working on mine and have about 5 different cables ordered and they are slowly coming in. 3 of them are from China and I could not find them over here. Should know more about the set up to record here in the next two weeks. Whatever the outcome I will post it up as I know some guys are waiting on my setup outcome!
On another note ...... the FLIR is an awesome thermal for the money......

Working on a package deal for you guys if interested in capturing footage on your androids if this new cable does the job. I have learned a lot in the last two weeks and working with a guy to develop a mutated RCA cord(not a standard cord that is sold today) for the set up we are working on. When it all comes down to it....I believe I will have a set up that will capture video on your android for under 125 bucks......We will see......
