Gotcha! What's up everyone? It's been a long while since I've been on here. 46 days and a wake up till sep. 1st. Has anyone gotten into any urasions? I'm in bastrop tx for work and the ring necks are everywhere! Good luck to all!

What exactly are you referring to when you say, "urasions"?
Are you looking for a type of sheep?

I think he may mean of the "dove" persuasion?

I guess so. I asked because of the title. I guess he's just trolling.

I, too, am confused about the "urasian" thing. What's weird is when I googled that term, I got a lot of hits for "Eurasian" but also one for mourning dove.

He's talking about eurasian and collared doves that are open season year round. Smaller and a little different coloration than mourning doves. He's counting down the days to the dove opener. It should be a banner dove season if the weather cooperates and you have a thrasher for the sunflowers.

Larger. As big as white wings, if not bigger. Ones we shoot look the size of pigeons. Makes it easy to pick them out to prolong hunts. (Ones at home are the same way that hang out around the hay rings)

Yeah, they're pretty close to the size of a pigeon.

It's great having a hunt where you've got 20 birds in the bag before the white wings start flying in the evenings. I hate having to leave wings on those stupid things.

Larger. As big as white wings, if not bigger. Think they are bigger, darn near like a city pigeon!

Lol sorry it took so long. Yea I just mispelled Eurasian my bad. And I put the title as a joke because it seems like there's a high fence low fence thread about once a month. I should of been more detailed lol. And collared doves are bigger than white wings. Like small pigeons. There's a lot in a field about 20 miles from where I live

European Turtle Doves which are a bit smaller than a Mourning Dove have been introduced to North America. I don't know about Texas but I've seen them in Forida.

The ones I posted and the only ones I know of are Eurasian Collard Dove and you can see in the top pic all collards on top, a pigeon, then a row of white wing, then bottom row are mourning dove. They aren't as big as the pigeon, but are larger than the white wing, and almost twice the size of the mourning.

They are considerably larger than whitewings, and dwarf mourning doves.
