Gotcha! What's up everyone? It's been a long while since I've been on here. 46 days and a wake up till sep. 1st.
Has anyone gotten into any urasions? I'm in bastrop tx for work and the ring necks are everywhere! Good luck to all!

What exactly are you referring to when you say, "urasions"?

Are you looking for a type of sheep?

I guess so. I asked because of the title. I guess he's just trolling.

I, too, am confused about the "urasian" thing. What's weird is when I googled that term, I got a lot of hits for "Eurasian" but also one for mourning dove.

He's talking about eurasian and collared doves that are open season year round.

Smaller and a little different coloration than mourning doves. He's counting down the days to the dove opener.

It should be a banner dove season if the weather cooperates and you have a thrasher for the sunflowers. cheers elmer

Wow, first I've heard of these! It's fascinating how they've spread around the world since 1800. See the subsection "Distribution":

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_collared_dove

Are they larger or smaller than mourning doves?

Larger. As big as white wings, if not bigger.

Ones we shoot look the size of pigeons. Makes it easy to pick them out to prolong hunts.

(Ones at home are the same way that hang out around the hay rings)

Yeah, they're pretty close to the size of a pigeon.
