I noticed Academy seems to be getting ready to start stocking their shelves with a lot of huntin' stuff. I just had to add two more boxes of ammo to my current supply when visiting one of their stores last night, and almost pulled the trigger on a new chair for my hunting blinds.
So have you made your first, pre-season purchase for the year?

I've bought a couple of scopes. Tried to buy some camo at Academy this week but the display wasn't set up and the new stock was not available.

Not at Academy, but: Game hoist for receiver hitch from Burns Holt off this site Road feeder (Texas Hunter) Double receiver hitch insert for both of the above (Amazon) 86 Ford Bronco. (Passed by and saw it.) It'll give me something to work on 'til the season gets here.

Oh yeah. New ranch rifle for multi-purpose deer/hog eradication/predator opportunities. New deer feeder 800# from Alamo Wildlife Feeders (forum member). If your in the market for a feeder you should check him out in the classifieds. Best design and price for stand and fill that I've seen.

I have an Academy opening up just down the road from the house, I could walk there . But I have a few blinds to build for a new hunting spot so my next purchases are from Home Depot.

Went to Sam's Club and bought non-perishables to restock the the trailer, good til Feb now. Feeders are filled back up and will be good for at least 3 months. Stocked propane for the deer stand heaters too.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Holy Carp, Dan. I did that in Feb or March. I'm not sure if I could really draw a line and say where last year stops and this year starts.

You're implying that it stops at some point. It doesn't. I made my first pre-season purchase last March!

Filled the protein feeder a couple of months ago. 2K lb is a bit pricey. They are not hitting it near as hard as during the drought.
