I used to hunt down in South Texas for dove, which were plentiful. Just now getting into dove hunting for first time up here in North Texas and trying to train my Brittany for first hunt ever. Any good areas that someone wouldn't mind sharing for a public hunt? If i shoot up one box of shells, i will be happy smile I got into public land hunting just last year, but that was mainly for duck hunting. Not sure where decent public land ares would be for dove. I am in Krum, so was thinking maybe Ray Roberts or the LBJ Grasslands, but not sure if those are the better places or not. Also, if someone knows of some really good ares for a day hunt paying $35-50 for a day, may be game for that as well.

Any tips appreciated to a rookie for hunting up here in these parts.

PMs appreciated, don't want to mess up anyone's spots. Would basically just be me, my dog Jake, and my 9 year old son.
