Do these cause the charging handle to wear on the opposite side as badly as suggested? The latches on both my uppers are a little hard to get to because of the scopes. I was thinking of changing them out for larger ones but I've read opinions that these are not good long-term. What do you think?

BCM's are fine, I personally use the Rainier Raptor Ambi. Love this thing.. Little pricy but I think they're worth it.

I use pri gas busters on mine with the combat latch. One rifle is several uears old and no problems at all, makes it nice to use one one finger to charge them. Thats also with extra powered springs in them.

The BCM gunfighters are top notch. I have the medium on a Bo. No slop or sway and always go right back into the retainer notch with out help. My older gun has a skeletonize combat latch that I wasted $20 on at a gun show. Next time midway or Primary has sale on them I will be replacing the cheap one.

The old cry once phrase got me again!

I have several different ones including a BCM. I even buy some of the cheap ones I find on ebay or brownells. The cheap ones are still fine for me. I've had no issues with them.

I like having them on my ARs and no problems to date. We had them on all our issued rifles in Iraq to speed up failure to fire drills or combat reloads. I would suggest using one.

I think it's must-have if you have a scope on your AR.
