I'm looking to buy a new game camera and I would like your opinions on manufactures and models. I'm not looking for WiFi capable models, but I am looking for picture quality and low battery usage. I'm currently using Cuddeback Attack IR. Two are good and one never has been very good. I want to spend $300.00 or less. Thanks again

Can't go wrong with a Browning, see posting in Hunting Gear section for more info.

It's not Wifi unfortunately, but I've been trying out the new Cabela's 4/8/10/12MP Black IR game cams (with lots of IR LEDs) - and I have to say, I am incredibly impressed. The pics are incredible - the video is sharp. They have great features, including the ability to fully adjust multi-shot and set the PIR wait on a wider range of values rather than the typical 30sec, 1min, 2min, etc. It has temp and audio recording. And a viewing panel for the pictures right on the cam - and it's only around $160 !!!

Yeah Baby, I'm estimating him at 300lbs+ . He has to go, he has taken over the feeders. He stand taller than a fawn. I went out last Saturday to do some work and try to take him out - I setup a stool in the brush overlooking the protein feeder - and the SOB snuck up behind me real quiet-like while I was watching deer. I smelled something, and looked over my shoulder and he was right behind me 15ft away - tried reaching for my pistol and he turned and ran off before I cover clean up my shorts and get a shot off. Scared the bejesus out of me. Decided right then I wasn't going to hunt him on the ground. Going to go back, in a couple of weeks and try again. I did manage to kill a smaller, black boar about 150lbs that was also being a problem.

Can't real see from this pic, but he has some serious cutters on him.

There are some new bushnell cams out this year, and cabelas has one on sale this weekend with an additional $30 mail in rebate from bushnell to bring the price down to 119. Look up the bushnell aggressor on cabelas, I have been quite happy with my bushnells in the past and at this price they can't be beat. I also have a browning and it is a good camera, but it is one of the black led types and the night pics are not great. Much prefer the low glow vs black led. i think everyone would agree there. Only reason for a black led is surveillance/spy camera, not ideal for game scouting.
