I bought a hornady reloader and the instructions are horrible.. not detailed what so ever. I just finished sizing and de primer in my 300 win mag brass and was wondering what yall do to clean the lube off of the outside and inside of the case? Also are the primer pocket cleaner needed. I bought the wrong one today and didn't know of I needed to go buy another one.. THANKS!!!

I just wipe off the case with a blue shop towel. And I use the wire brush primer pocket cleaner if I am not stainless tumbling. But I cheat and keep that brush chucked up in a little drill press.

Thanks!! I sprayed lube on the necks of the case so I'm sure its in the casing. Are the inside of the case okay?

Some guys lube the inside of the case mouth, I never have. A little carbon can also be a good thing. And I use Hornady Unique lube on a pad, no spray.
Just what I do.

I spray the cases with Dillon case lube, size them, trim, and load. Lube doesn't have to be removed, but it won't hurt at all if it is. I rarely clean primer pockets.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I use my tumbler to remove lube. I can't stand handling nasty greasy lubey ammo.

Store bought lube for non-carbide dies no biggie.
Home made lube for cast bullets gets wiped off cause it's so sticky.
Pass the gravy.

I use an rcbs lube pad, I size trim tumble. Never specifically cleaned a primer pocket other than what the tumbler does. After tumbling wipe em off and load.
It's hell eatin em live

cheap and small drill presses are readily available for less then dedicated "reloading" gear.
