Im loading 22 hornet with Winchester small pistol primers, 12 grains lil gun, and a Hornady varmit 45gr soft point. If I seat the bullet down to 1.723" the brass is going to be up on the taper of the bullet. Brass length is 1.398". If I seat the bullet right where the taper starts at the top of the neck of the brass I het a c.o.a.l of 1.752". What kind of c.o.a.l should I be looking for? First time loading hornet

Hodgdon lists 1.750 in their loading data, if your load fits and functions through the magazine it will be fine.
