Do your dogs still have their dew claws? I remove them the day they are born.
Tigger If it isn't white it is not a birddog.
KC Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy. _________________

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

I have and have had dogs with dew claws. I have never seen a problem with them. When a litter of pups were whelped at my kennel, I removed them, but it was mainly because of buyers' expectations rather than function or esthetics.

I've booted them with and without dew claws. Without is much easier.

Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Good question to ask your breeder before you buy your pup...

One hunting dog has them, the other does not. The only difference I have seen is the one without them has been worn raw on the bump where it use to be while hunting. The one with them has had no issues.

I have one with and one without. The one with the dew claws is just a mutt/pet. She has ripped hers a few times while rough housing with the other dog.

We took them off Sparkey because they stuck out so far. Dewey has real tight, close in dew claws, so they stayed.
Cast I have a short attention spa
