My wife found this on that chick site South Your Mouth. That site is pretty reliable for good recipes. We have made this several times and it is great!!

2- 28 oz. cans pork & beans, use the lid and mash out as much liquid as possible.
½ cup ketchup
½ cup BBQ sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. mustard
1 Tbsp. Worchester
Few drops liquid smoke, (optional)
½ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. black pepper
5-6 slices bacon, semi chopped very small into tiny squares. Wife says that makes it pretty. Amount of bacon is also optional. Have you ever had too much bacon in or on anything?

Combine everything except bacon and pour into a 2 qt. baking dish. We use rectangle Pyrex. It looks like they used a Corelle dish.

Spread the bacon on top

Bake at 350….1 to 1.5 hours until bacon is finished cooking.

In a time pinch mostly cook the bacon in a skillet and knock this out in an hour or less with the broiler finishing up the bacon on top.

Picture from South Your Mouth. I like the bacon more done than that, like crunchy. If you use more bacon, and get it crunchy? food

Mine is about the same except I add a pinch of cayenne.

That's pretty close to how Mom taught me. Try putting them on the smoker before they go in the oven. A touch of sweet smoke really raises the bar.

For quick, cheap and dirty drop dead beans, just open 2 or 3 different styles of Bush's baked beans and mix together. Add Chopped onions and japs, put bacon on top and nuke it until the bacon is crisp. Dang good!

I now buy the Bush beans with onions.
