Well, my tax stamp should be coming back any day now for my SBR, so beginning to research what to top it with...
Trying to decide between 300 BO and 6.8 SPC....
Will be running it suppressed, although prob will shoot super-sonics (plans for the SBR are as a night hunting rig)...
Am leaning towards staying with the 6.8 as it is what I currently have my NV gear on and have had good luck with it...
Originally thought 12.5" ARP barrel, but they are out of stock... In my research have found Bison Armory has complete uppers in 11.5 in for a reasonable price...
Any experience with the 11.5 in 6.8?
Also, any experience with Bison Armory?
Thanks for any input!

What caliber and length is it registered in?

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

What caliber and length is it registered in? Dang, I forgot about that...I will have to go look... Will I forever be stuck with what I originally entered?

No, you can change it as soon as you get it approved. The only caveat is that you are supposed to be able to readily return it to what is on your Form 1, meaning you should keep the upper it was registered under.

Bison Armory is good to go. I have built several uppers with their barrels. Reports are they are shooters.

Is your can rated for 6.8 in that barrel length? it is the Silencerco Omega. They don't have 6.8 SPC listed in their specs... Website says min barrel lengths are 8" for 300 BO, 10" for 556 and 16" for 308. I think I read somewhere (6.8 forum maybe) that down to 10" was good for the 6.8 as well, but I cannot verify that anywhere...

.300 BO is the clear choice because the Omega is only rated for 16" 6.8 barrels in up. So, if you want to use your can on your SBR it can't be a 6.8.

By the way, the 16" barrel minimum for 6.8s comes straight from Silencerco. I love the Omega, though!

another reason I recommend the Crux Nemesis30, rated for 300 win mag and full auto SBR (if running the brake)

Love my 12.5" arp barrel! i run from 90 grain on up to 120. I get 2680 fps shooting the factory 90 grain federal xm 6.8 and 2420 factory hornady out of the ARP 12.5" barrel. Heres where i got my 12.5" arp barrel from a arp dealer and they are in stock! Its a little more, since they where on sale at arp, but they ship very fast. I used the stag 6.8 bolt from them also. I Was having a little problem with hornady 120 factory ammo being tight in chamber, but it ended up being out of spec factory ammo. I still have a few rounds left that are hard to manually eject out of rifle, but Every box i bought afterthat first batch ejects perfect. http://www.stuttstacticalsupply.com/AR15...tock_p_199.html

It's a yankee hill titanium .30 caliber ccreyeder! Here is a huge amount of info on the 6.8. I dont shoot subs, so i figured the 6.8 in a 12.5" barrel would be a nice hunting rig that i can still get great velocity out of. Had a 8.5" noveske barrel blackout but after the new wore off of shooting subs, i figured a 6.8 would be better mouse trap for supersonic hunting, as i could get way more energy out of the 6.8. http://68forums.com/forums/forum.php
