What do you all use for a rifle rest in a pop-up blind? Do you have a tripod, shooting stick, build a rest or just rest your gun in the window and support with your other hand?

I was always used to shooting from a box blind but will be using a pop-up this year.

I might put up some 2x4 gun rests in the windows.

I have used a bi pod for close range, last year I used a Bog Pod tri pod with their 2 point rest on it with my bi pod at the rear. It was a tight fit in the pop up but very solid for long range shooting

I use a bi-pod with one that attaches to the cross bow frame, the one for the rifle is a V design. If understand the design of the bi pod it should have a slight lean to it, back towards you so that when you support the shot the weight of the rifle is into your shoulder.
I hope this helps.

Caldwells Deadshot Field Pod is what I use for Crossbow, ML, or Rifle.

I liked the regular Caldwell, but found it to be too short. I returned it and am thinking about the Magnum Deadshot.

How low does that go? Would be great for my kids. They have to stand to shoot out of the blind.

The demo video of it is an adult man in the sitting position shooting 650 yards.

These are a real winner. Been using for 3 years and it has the advantage of not having to move your rifle around - it's always up and ready. It provides an good stabile platform for longer shots too. And folds up into a compact carry.

It will work for any type of crossbow or rifle just fine - although for my A/R's - found the longer clips can be problematic - so I simply got a 10-round clip for use with the field pod.

You ain't just whistling Dixie on that. I made that mistake once - just once. Lost the hearing in my left ear for two years, and it is STILL not back 100%
