I once started all the way from scratch with a head of cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, and onions from my garden. I don't do that anymore since I'm all alone. I now just pick up a package of Dole coleslaw mix. I was in Kroger today getting the mix. They had the kit for $2.50. The kit included the dressing. They had the mix for $1.50. I just got the mix because I prefer my own dressing. I put vinegar, oil,, and mayo in my dressing. I salt, pepper, and sugar the shredded mix. I add a touch of cayenne at the end.

Do you high rollers buy the kit?

LOL no I buy it in the Deli section by the quart already made. Usually right next to the mustard potato salad.

I spend my time on the meats out on the grill.

I prefer making my own. I simply use hand chopped cabbage, chopped onion, vinegar, sugar, and celery seed. Sometimes when I feel lazy, I buy the angel hair shredded cabbage.

KFC has the best slaw. LJS is a close second.

I merely buy the package (not the kit) as I use salsa as my dressing, sometimes I will add a little balsamic vinegar to change up the taste a bit.

I buy the mix but add finely sliced red onion and cilantro. I make the dressing with mayo, adobo, and lime juice.

KFC is good. Don't recall LJS. Chick-fil-a has good slaw also.

I never make coleslaw, like it, just don't like it enough to make it.

Make a verision of summer slaw with large pineapple chunks in it. Old firehouse recipe and its better than anything you can get at the store!

The Swinging Door near me has raisins in their slaw. I've tried it at home and it was fine.
