Wait it out. Form 1's are taking between 2.5-3.5 months right now.

Looks like its running around 100 days Sappertitan for a form 1 trust right now. If it does comeback you redo the application and send the two control numbers to ted clutter and it will be approved within a day. I did my form 1 trust at the begging of the year, when it was running a month for form 1, but it jumped up to three months right after i efiled!

Do they have to do background checks on every person in the trust? That's would make it take longer than an individual application?

My thoughts exactly I'm surprised they don't have an online deal so you can check the status seems like that would be a whole lot easier.

I efiled my form 1 on 6/18. It's still in pending status. I don't expect to get my stamp till around beginning of Sept.

My Dads first eform 1 took a little over 10 weeks, his second took just over 3 months...

I called today to check on two cans that ATF cashed my checks on March 12. Trust is in "pending status" and was told to expect the stamps in September. Sure hope the guy on the phone is wrong.

Silencer shop is showing approvals from March 6th for form 4 trusts as of today. I'd say he is wrong.

I went pending on a form 1 paper on March 9th. Still not approved as of 2 days ago. Around 130 days since went pending. Sucks!!! My buddy sent in 3 form 1s mid feb and got all of them back mid June.

Ok, so I got approval for my can. Purchased on 3/6, check cashed on 3/12. Silencershop just got the approval back in the mail, it was approved by the ATF on the 1st of July frown Almost a month from approval to getting the freaking paperwork back to the FFL.......

Not necessarily. Could be SilencerShop. I had 2 purchased through SilencerShop at the same time. They called/e-mailed me about only one stamp and I decided to wait until both were approved before I went to pick them up. I called the ATF 3 weeks later and they said both were approved the same day. Called SilencerShop and they claimed they called me about both of them. Right after that phone call, I got an e-mail about the second stamp being approved.

I ordered two cans from SS on 3/4 and 3/5. Funds accepted on March 12.

Stamp was approved July 19 but it hasn't arrive at SS yet. SS said generally 10 - 14 days before they receive it. SS will follow up if the stamp doesn't arrive 30 days after approval.

It's hard to say where the delay is occurring but I doubt it takes USPS 10-14 days to deliver an envelope.

I live about 4 miles from their shop so I'll be there as soon as notified of its arrival. After 4.5 months of waiting, another week is easy smile

I am looking for some info on trusts. I see people talking about them in regards to silencers. Is that the only reason you would need one. Would there be a need for one only if you had a nice collection of guns but were not wanting a silencer for any of them. Last question, if it is still a good idea to have one even though you are not purchasing a silencer, is it something you can print out the paperwork and file yourself? Thanks

not necessarily any reason for a trust if you're not buying NFA weapons...

Next Friday is 15 weeks since my check was cashed. Hoping it's not too much longer before I receive my stamp. I've been tempted to call, but haven't done so as of yet.

SS told me they only follow up if the stamp hasn't arrived 30 days after approval. How do they know it was approved if no one calls? SS didn't know my stamp was approved July 19 until I informed them a few days ago.

I was approved 16 weeks after checked cash but I'm still waiting for the stamp to arrive at SS.
