What are yalls thoughts.i know it doesnt have the rattle which is important so that the dog recognizes this as a warning cue. I have rattlers at my disposal, ranch hand catches them, but am afraid to defang for training and just give me the creeps in general.

I would have to say not. It would be a lot easier if you just got a group together and I came down there to knock it out the right way. There is a whole lot more to the training than dog see snake, you shock dog.

I de-snake my dogs with Bull snakes. Just set the shock collar on high. Let the dog walk up to the snake and hit him hard with the shock. Then take the dog off for awhile. 15 -20 minutes bring the dog back up to the snake. Do this until the dog avoids the snake. DO NOT let the dog see you messing around with the snake. Try and keep as mush snake scent of your hands.
