Up for sale or possible trade...this is a pinned and recessed S&W Model 27 with a five-inch barrel. I bought this in Idaho back in the 90s, unfired, and have since fired around 500 rounds through it. The only wear in the finish is the turn line on the cylinder.
I've been asked about the grips...these are Hogue Custom, I do not recall the kind of wood. I do not have the originals.
My reason for considering letting it go is that I am very reluctant to carry it while hunting. That's one of the reasons a 4" 686 is on my trade lists.
I'm open to trade ideas. Trade value is $975. Cash price is $925
These 5" 27s don't grow on trees.
Trade interests would include:
Super X2 or 3 in 12-guage
CRF Model 70s
other high-quality rifles
a night vision scope for hog hunting
pistols in 10mm
revolvers in .327 Federal or .32 H&R Mag
a four-inch S&W 686
an AR upper in .458 SOCOM
rifles in bullpup configuration chambered in 5.56/.223
high quality binoculars
and probably a few other things that don't come to mind that the moment.
Things that do NOT interest me are Taurus products, Mini-14s, .300 Whisper, WWII collectibles. But I'm willing to consider just about anything if the deal is good enough I suppose.
Cash to even values, of course.
PM if interested. I am in the north Fort Worth area.
